About the event
Introduction to Chess
Chess is a strategic board game played between two players. The objective is to checkmate the opponent's king, meaning the king is in a position to be captured and cannot escape.
Chess Board Setup
Each player has 16 pieces: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, and 8 pawns.
The board consists of 64 squares arranged in an 8x8 grid.
The pieces are set up with the rooks in the corners, knights next to them, followed by bishops, the queen on her color, and the king on the remaining square.
